Wilmington, NC (April 24, 2019) –The Wilmington Celebration Choir releases one of the most stirring videos and recordings of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” arranged and orchestrated by Ed Hogan. This unique arrangement takes you on a musical journey that would make the founding fathers of America proud. From the reverent and lush beginning, to the high-energy gospel verses, to a majestic ending makes this recording a timeless masterpiece for churches and community events across this great land.
Lillenas Publishing released the video in conjunction with the new arrangement nationwide. “I first heard the Wilmington Celebration Choir a few years ago and was an immediate fan,” notes Dave Clark. “Their energetic passion for worship is both authentic and contagious. Joey Gore had the choir rehearsed and ready to get to work in the studio,” Clark states.
Gore expresses the choir’s willingness to participate by stating, “This is the first concept video the Wilmington Celebration Choir has had the honor to complete. “The Battle Hymn of the Republic is patriotic while honoring God. This group of talented choir members will travel far and wide to share that message.”
The video features the choir performing on deck of the USS North Carolina Battleship. The ship was originally commissioned in 1941. The Wilmington Celebration Choir was enthusiastic to sing on this platform. From the first note, the tone of the video expresses a strong message that the lyrics of the song speak of.
The video is now available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/bGWi1TarB1Iand through various multiple media channels.
